This title sequence was an assignment in my animation class to recreate or imagine a new title sequence for a film or show of given choice. I chose Prometheus (2012) for my project, inspired and challenged by the simple yet classic Alien (1979) title.

I began with a production story board to get a sense of the direction I wanted to go with my animation. I had initially imagined using solely vectors, but ended up turning to illustrations to provide a grittier, deep-space feel. I was inspired by Prometheus' themes of creation and questioning a higher power. I wanted to evoke this serene feeling in my palette and music choice, yet use microscopic imagery at a large scale to make the audience feel unease, or a sense of being small.
